The worst thing you can do is take a masculine name like Matt/Matthew and create some made up name that will end up being fake and boyish just so you can name your daughter after her Dad.
That would be horrible.
Definitely don't take a name like Madeline and name her Mattalyn or take a name like Madison and name her Mattison. That would be taking female names and misspelling them which will be hard on the child so the Dad can have an ego trip all over the kid. It would be selfish.
Either use a female M name like Marissa or Melissa or Melanie spelled correctly or name her after yourself. What are some girl names that have the name Matt in them?
Matteya (pronounced Mah-tay-ah)
Mattrina ( pronounced Ma-trina)
Mattima ( Mah-tee-ma)
Mattalynn (could be pronounced Madalyn)What are some girl names that have the name Matt in them?

Which of these girl names do you like best?
Can you please rate these girl names out of 10? Or just let me know the best and worst from the bunch?
Aven
Avelyn
Elora
Elissa
Ciel/Cielle
Nova
Maisy/Maisie
Hazel
Ivy
Odessa
Feel free to mention comments you may have on any of the names. If you have any suggestions of similar names that are not too common I'd love to hear them as well.
Thanks!Which of these girl names do you like best?
I love Ivy, and Elissa, Elora and Hazel are quite cute. If I could make a few changes, I would change Avelyn to Evelyn, Elissa to Alessia, Cielle to Noelle, Maisie to Marie and Hazel to Auburn haha.
I don't like Nova just because it always reminds me of "casanova", and Odessa sounds like this old woman that used to be my neighbor in Israel so I associate it with old ladies lol, though I'm sure others would disagree. Cielle is a very pretty middle name (spelled that way), the only problem is that it looks a bit like "cell". There are tons of beautiful -elle names that sound similar, like Noelle, Danielle, Brielle, Elle, Belle, etc.
I don't like Maisie, it's a bit too... country? I don't know. Just sounds like a girl milking a cow. I don't like Aven either. Elora has a very "alluring" and mysterious quality, almost like it belongs to a fantasy novel. I love it! I can easily imagine a little girl in the playground or a teenager at school, and also a young woman, a mom and an old lady. It's unique without being over-the-top, the best type of name. And I could say the exact same thing about Ivy, which I think is adorable as both a first name and a middle *though it's a bit challenging to find a first name to go along with it).
Hope that helps!

What are some nice Welsh boy and girl names?
What are some nice Welsh boy and girl names?
And how would you pronounce it?What are some nice Welsh boy and girl names?
I am from Wales, these are some of my personal favorites. (FYI, the letter Y is predominantly masculine in the Welsh language, there are very few, correctly spelled feminine Welsh names that contain the letter Y)
Girls :
Gwendolen (Gwen-dahl-en)
Elowen -- (el-oh-wen)
Carys -- (car-iss)
Cerys -- (care-iss)
Briallen -- (bree-ahl-en)
Eira -- (eye-ra/ay-ra)

Boys :
Aldryd -- (al-drid)
Alwyn -- (al-win)
Bedwyr -- (bed-oo-eer)
Gwenlyn -- (gwen-linn)
Llywelyn -- (lee-well-in)
Good luck
[girl] Bethan (beth ann) .. means consecrated to God
[girl] Ariana (are-ee-ana or are-ee-ona) .. means like silver
[girl] Brynn (brin) .. means mount {many Welsh names begin with the word 'Bryn'}
[boy] Caden (Kay-din) .. means spirit of battle (I like it, but you might have a fighter on your hands if he is true to the meaning of his name :o) so be careful!!)
[girl] Carys (kar-iss) means love
[boy] Dylan (dill-in) means son of the sea
[boy] Evan (ev-in) means the Lord is Gracious

What are some really pretty unusual girl names?
I really need some names for a story/sims series i'm making. Not sure what its about yet, though I have characters.
Needs to mean:
Fast, runner, athletic (something along those lines) for a girl of course.
Other needs to mean artistic, creative, smart
Last needs to mean pretty, girly, cheery and something along those lines.
Thanks so much! :)What are some really pretty unusual girl names?
Aaeesha = Full of life
Mable = Lovable
Mabyn = Forever Young
Olita = Winged (pretty and agile)
Orabelle= beautiful seacoast (could be interpreted as lively and beautiful.)
I'm not sure you will find something that meets all of your criteria, but I think any of these might be a good pick.
1. Bryony, Noelle
(Bry rhyming with cry, then uh and nee.) It actually is a girl name, it's botanical. (So the 'Bryon' part doesn't make it meant for a boy.)
2. Mia, Quinn, Aurora, Oceana
3. (Kind of just spitballing here.) Elizabeth, Savannah, Quartney (I created it- pronounced like Courtney. XD You could use the regular spelling, though! I just don't like it with a C. XD), Aurora, Ava, Lindsey/Lindsay, Alice, Allison/other spelling. What are some really pretty unusual girl names?

What does everyone think of these girl names?
Cassandra and Sophie for girl sibling names. What does everyone think of these girl names?
cute
.,,
Cassandra is beautiful and classic. The nickname Cassie is cute. I love the name Sophia - I think it sounds more sophisticated and classy this way and then use the nn Sophie. However, just so you're aware, Sophia/Sophie is # 6 or 7 on the most popular baby girl names of 2008.What does everyone think of these girl names?
I love both names. I know two Cassies, the first is the most nicest girl you could ever meet, the second is clever with a great sense of humour. I prefer Sophia to Sophie though. It reminds me of a small blonde girl who's very smart because Sophia is Greek for wise. What does everyone think of these girl names?
Well I love Cassandra because its my name only spelled Kasandra. I dont really like Sophie because its blunt and hard to pair with a middle name. However, Sophia is really pretty and easy to pair a middle name.
you should go all out...
those are to common....
if you go all out don't make a mistake of overdoing it..
should play with the names abit add character spell out the sounds
things like that you digg?
They are really cute and pretty.

Who cares if a name is common who ever you are above me.
And i only know 1 Sophie and 1 Cassandra.

What do you think of these 3 girl names I have picked out?
The names are
Meghan Elise Nicole
Carissa Pearl
Audra Leigh Grace "Audra Leigh"
They are my top 3 names for a girl
What do you think? Rate outta 10 and comment?
Thanks! What do you think of these 3 girl names I have picked out?
Meghan Elise Nicole: 5/10. Meghan and Nicole are both perfectly fine, solid, but slightly dull names that would seem a little tired for a new baby girl. Elise is beautiful and elegant, but seems a little out of place between Meghan and Nicole.
Carissa Pearl: 6/10. Carissa sounds pretty, but is a bit close to "caress"...I'd prefer Clarissa, which seems more classic (it's the title, and name of the heroine, of one of the first English novels, written in the 1700's by Samuel Richardson). Pearl is beautifully simple and old-fashioned.
Audra Leigh Grace: 7/10. Audra is gorgeous. Leigh and Grace seems like a double dose of filler to me, though...both names are such common middles that they don't really seem to complement or add anything to Audra.
1. Audra Leigh Grace
2. Meghan Elise Nicole
3. Carissa Pearl
I really like Audra Leigh and Meghan Elise. Carissa is a cute name, but not paired with Pearl. What do you think of these 3 girl names I have picked out?

What do you think of these girl names?
My cousin Sara is going to have a baby girl sometime in December of this year and we were just having fun choosing random little girl names. So far we have Rebecca and Lorelai. What do you guys think of these names, and are there any other pretty girl names that aren't necessarily common, and are old fashion? What do you think of these girl names?
Rebecca is a pretty name
i like the name Charlotte and it is very uncommon
hope that helps :)
The main problem with Rebecca is that every other girl is called Rebecca. I went to an all girls' school, there's a lot of them.
Felicity, Ella, Alex (nickname: Lexie/Lexy) and Carol are the ones on my list so far. There's so many good names to choose from, though Lorelai is very nice. I have yet to meet anybody by that name. What do you think of these girl names?
Rebecca is nice. I'm not sure how Lorelai is pronounced, but the way I think it is doesn't sound that great...
What about Lucinda? (Loo-Sin-Duh)
I think it's pretty cute and sort of old fashioned. Her nickname could be Lucy, Cinda, or Cindy... or something like that.
Congrats to your cousin on the baby! :)What do you think of these girl names?
I like Rebecca, but Lorelai is like EVERYONE'S favorite lately. There are going to be a ton of them.
Eleanor, Rosalind, and Briony are all cute, and traditional.
lorelai. thats really cute!

What are your opinions on these girl names?
? Ada(h)
? Lenora
? Norah
? Willa
? Charlotte
They're names on my longer list of possibilities, but I wanted to get some opinions about them from the public. So tell me whether you like or dislike them, and anything else you'd like to add, like what kind of girl you see with that name / associations, etc.
Just keep it classy is all I ask!
Thanks for your answers. :)What are your opinions on these girl names?
Ada(h): 6/10. The name, to me, is just awkward to say. Reminds me of "atta boy" or something...I imagine a girl who is quiet and loves math. She has a logical brain (right side of the brain I think is like that) and doesn't get sarcasm, so perhaps she has ASD (autism spectrum disorder).
Lenora: 7/10: The name is very pretty, but not my style. It reminds me of the actress, Lenora Crichlow, from Being Human. She's gorgeous! She has lovely caramel skin, cute dark permed hair to her shoulders, and a very charming personality. Plus a British accent. So that's what comes to mind with the name Lenora.
Norah: 8/10: I think this name is actually more quirky than old lady. Maybe because of Nick %26amp; Norah's Infinite Playlist and the musician Norah Jones' recent makeover. I imagine a girl named Norah to be very random, in a very cute way. She'll wear pink tulle skirts with black combat boots one day, and then she'll wear a kimono the next.
Willa: 9/10: I adore this name. It's a nice variation of Willow, and also the name of the actress, Willa Holland. I imagine the girl with this name to have long brown hair, often in a side braid, and lovely brown Doe-eyes. She loves to draw with charcoal, so she has smudges on her hands and cheeks. She's sweet and giving.
Charlotte: 10/10: I absolutely love this name. I think it's darling on a girl with the nickname "Charlie." It's classic, yet very modern. I imagine a girl with this name to be a bit of an overachiever, and very involved. She'll have a Polo game one day, Environmental club the next, and volunteering at the Senior Home the next. I imagine her to have wavy blonde hair and big smile.
Hope I helped! :)
When choosing a name, just remember to think about a few things. Ask yourself, "If this were my name would I be embarrassed to introduce myself to family/teenagers/business professionals with this name?" and "Would I be able to yell this name when disciplining my child?" and "Would I be able to comfort my child and instill confidence in my child using this name?"
I would advise against using Ada(h) for two reasons. First, it is comprised of sounds that a one year old makes. Second, it sounds like something a person with a speech impediment would say.
I would also advise against using Willa. It reminds me of several derogatory phrases.
The rest (Lenora, Norah, and Charlotte) are good names for all stages of life (as a child, teenager, and adult).
Good luck! What are your opinions on these girl names?
To be honest, the only one I think is cute is Charlotte. The other ones aren't bad ( though I really dislike Willa and Lenora). I like classic names, hate trendy ones, but those to me sound a little retirement-home. But Charlotte is cute. What are your opinions on these girl names?
I like Charlotte, a classic name that is beautiful with the opportunity to shorten into a nickname. Norah isn't bad either but I personally don't like the rest.
sparkle cynamin and l-a are better names ***** %26lt;3
All old senile lady names. Charlotte is the best one.
I like them all except Ada. Willa is the one that stands out to me because it's unusual.tanning sunscreen

I am getting a cute dwarf hamster but i dont know what to name it ! Its going to be a girl . What are some cute/safisticated names ?I am getting a hamster What are some cute girl names?
I don't think a name can be cute AND sophisticated; those adjectives are kind of "opposite" -- at least to me. :) So, here are my nominations for cute names, because personally I don't like sophisticated names for pet rodents. I tend to prefer cute names only. (I have pet rats myself)
Brownie, Cookie, Cupcake, Daisy, Jellybean, Minikin, Muffin, Niblet, Peaches, Pepita, Pipsqueak, Squeakums, Tickles, Twinkie, Whiskers
