How hard is it to really distinguish between boy and girl names?

for real, i posted about hartleigh or coryn and both times ppl mostly commented for boys, obviously they are girl names, google them.

and do people not read the more detail section, cuz i even wrote in there it was for girls and they still commented as if it were for a boy.How hard is it to really distinguish between boy and girl names?
The spellings are unusual. That probably threw people off. If you had spelled it Corinne, they prob would've guessed. Oh, and no some do not read the detailed section. I posted a question and people were suggesting names that I have already used on my children I already have. I put siblings are Devon, Logan, and Hayden(all boys and already named). I got alot of answers that either suggested names like Caden or Brayden or said Go with Logan, I like that best.

I guess I just appreciate the answers I get and shrug off the others. For you I like the name Coryn better. Good Luck!
I think that a lot depends on where you live

For instance, in my country, the names Ashleigh,Shannon and Bailey are considered girl names and are much more popular on girls!

I have seen boy Ashley's, but have never met a boy Shannon in my country and was shocked when I herad it was a male name

The male name Arden, I thought was girl name until I looked it up and was told it is male.

But now, when I mention the name under a male heading, it gets said that it is too girly!

I think that some people take the ''differnt' name idea too far, and it becomes cool to swap names for some people. They think it is cute

I do think it is possible to make a mistake

Some names which are unisex to me, I honestly like for a boy and girl. I think it can suit both

I also just think that it boils down to your name taste and nationality ot where you live

I like Hartleigh for a girl and as a name

I do think some peoplse skip what is saidHow hard is it to really distinguish between boy and girl names?
Because lately, just about all names are unisex.

My son's name is Parker Quinn and I've had a lot of people tell me thats way too girly.

Coryn seems like a girl name to me, but maybe because it's so much like Cory, and that tends to be a boy name? I dunno.

I like both names though, they're cute. How hard is it to really distinguish between boy and girl names?
For you, apparently it's impossible.

No, a surname is not a girls name.

No, sticking a Y in the middle of a boys name does not make it a girls name.

Try again. GIRL, remember. Not BOY. Not SURNAME. GIRL.
Because those names are kinda hard to tell...their not like Ava and Thomas lol
