I'm currently writing a story, and I'm in need of some help. I'm looking for an unpopular girl name. It doesn't have to be old as in early twentieth century but I would like it to be different. I've tried many different names like Eleanor (and Nora as a nickname) but none of them seem to fit. I should add that the character I'm naming is sixteen. Oh, some nicknames would be nice too. Thanks for your help. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, again. What are some good unpopular girl names?
Clarisse (can also be spelled Clarice) -- Of course there's the obvious nickname choice of Clare, or Risse (or Reese to make more sense of pronunciation).
Evangeline -- Lina / Lena, Ange / Angie, or Eva / Evie.
Rosamund -- Rose / Rosie / Ros (as in "rawz" like the creepy chick monster from Monster's Inc. :) )
Viviette -- Vivi, Ettie (like Eddie, kind of), Via. It's the French variation of Vivian.
Melody -- Mel, Dee Dee, Mellow
Jillian -- Jill, Jilly, Lea (like Leah), Lee Lee, Lyn / Linnie.
Josephine -- Josie, Phi Phi....haha, Jo / Jo Jo.
Sabine -- Bina....?
Joanna -- Anne / Anna / Annie, Jo / Jo Jo, Joan / Joanie.
Good luck on finding the right name! I have the hardest time finding names for stories, too. :)
